Yar, maties



We've gone pirate. No, seriously, we are about to enter the Sikh temple which you see in the background. As might be inferred, you're to keep your hair covered. I can only presume they distribute such ugly bandanas to visitors in order to minimize theft.

You can't see it, but everyone is also barefoot.


Update: It might not be clear from the above post that everyone wears a hair covering when entering a Gurudawara (Sikh temple). To do otherwise, for both men and women, is a sign of disrespect to the Guru Granth Saheb, the holy book they worship. Incidentally, that's why most Sikhs have turbans and the women wear their salwar kameezes with dupattas so that they can cover their heads, even in front of elders.
